Pega System Architect

Job Summary

Work as part of a team to design, build, and support BPM applications for our clients, including technical and business-related tasks. You will be developing system features and functionality out of user requirements, as well as designing and developing user interfaces. 

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for providing high quality consulting services on all project assignments. All levels of System Architects (SA, SSA, LSA) will work as part of a project team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution reflects client requirements.  You will follow Pega’s Direct Capture of Objectives methodology, completing applications using languages and software products, designing and conducting test scripts and recommending system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages. You will also be coordinating requirements, schedules, activities, contributing in team meetings and trouble-shooting development and production issues across multiple environments and operating platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

  • All levels of experience
  • Pega Certifications are desired, but not required. Once employed with Hoverstate, you will be required to obtain certifications, with company assistance, within a designated time period.
  • Experience with various cloud platforms and technologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Experience with SQL, XML, HTTP, SOAP, Java or C#
  • Experience working with multiple project methodologies, including agile, scrum and waterfall
  • Experience building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions and applications in Pega, version 7 preferred
  • Exposure to a variety of technologies, including object-oriented techniques/principles, database design, application & web servers
  • Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly; ability to explain it to both business & technology stakeholders
  • Capability to work productively in teams as well as alone
  • Ability to match technology solutions to customer needs
  • History of working in customer organizations on all phases of the software development life-cycle
  • Highly technical, hands-on, motivated and collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills and proven experience working with diverse teams of technical architects, business users and technology teams
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to travel
  • A positive attitude, self-motivated with a thirst for knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
